  • American Association of Kidney Patients (AAKP) - national organization that was established by patients to serve the needs, interests, and welfare of people with kidney disease through educational materials, support, an annual national meeting and chapter meetings in some areas, and legislative advocacy
  • American Diabetes Association (ADA) - national nonprofit organization that provides diabetes research, information and advocacy and memberships for people with diabetes and professionals that treat them
  • DaVita Patient Citizens (DPC) - nationwide, non-profit, patient-led dialysis patient organization dedicated to improving dialysis patients' quality of life through education and advocacy; membership is free and open to all pre-dialysis and dialysis patients and their families
  • National Kidney Foundation (NKF)
  • National Kidney Foundation Donor Family Council - a constituent council of the National Kidney Foundation and membership organization for those who have donated a loved one's organs for transplantation
  • National Kidney Foundation Patient and Family Council - a constituent council of the National Kidney Foundation and membership organization for people with kidney disease, their families, and professionals who treat them
